Road salt on dog paws - Protect dog paws!

Even small amounts of road salt are very dangerous for your dog, especially if he licks it off his paws. The road salt irritates the skin on the paws. The dog begins to limp and eventually refuses to walk.

Unfortunately, this is not all. If the road salt gets into your dog's stomach, he can become seriously ill. Therefore: Avoid contact with road salt as much as possible.

Very important: If you even suspect that your dog has walked on road salt, please be sure to rinse his paws with lukewarm water after the walk.

How do I protect my dog?

Paw shoes offer the best protection. Paw shoes should be fitted in a specialist shop. The shoes also protect the dog from sharp grit or lava.

Paw balm helps in the transition phase.

By the way: If you also have to grit yourself: coffee grounds are increasingly recommended as a gritting agent that is harmless to health and the environment.
